The Bresica Heirloom Chest evokes the mystery and grandeur of an antique jewelry box scaled up into a striking furniture piece. This stunning treasure box for your most valued possessions exudes Spanish colonial and baroque influences, making it an heirloom piece to treasure for generations. With its distressed and timeworn antique finish, delicate gold flourishes decorated by hand, and classical architectural details, this chest embodies timeless elegance.

The manufacturing process starts with the kiln drying of the wood, followed by the pest control process. Once the raw wood has been treated, the creative process begins. After phase I, the assembled piece goes to the Pre-Finish process, consisting of several stages of sanding by hand and applying different paint bases. In the finishing process, several layers of paint and acrylics are applied to give it a unique texture and color. 

During this process, each piece is hand distressed and hand polished. Since every piece is painted by hand, colors might vary slightly. We build our case goods with Mortise and Tenon joinery. Our exterior hardware is individually hand forged from wrought iron pieces. Made in Peru!

Mohena and Tornillo Solid Wood, Aged Black and Gold Finish, Wrought Iron Grille, and Ornate Scrolled Carvings

Crafted from Mohena and Tornillo woods similar to mahogany, it is the perfect wooden chest for bedrooms, entryways, living rooms, or as an accent cabinet. It features a bold, aged black and gold distressed finish, adorned with ornate metal hinges and a decorative drawer pull that contribute to its Spanish hacienda aesthetic. The large, ornate scrolled carvings on either side and a central cabinet door with a wrought iron grille with swirling motifs showcase artistic craftsmanship with careful attention to every detail.

Hand crafted and hand painted by master artisans, who carefully carve each individual piece by hand. All our pieces are finished throughout including the interior and back. We work with selected hard tropical hardwood indigenous to the area. We mainly use Mohena and Tornillo. These are medium weight woods similar to mahogany. High quality wood veneer is used on certain tops and door panels.
