High-End Western Furniture Made with Durable Reclaimed Teak Wood

Jason Scott Bars & Racks

Jason Scott Bars & Racks feature freestanding home bars and baker’s racks for entertaining, kitchen, and dining spaces, combining handcrafted teak construction and integrated storage with decorative wood detailing and granite work surfaces on select racks. The reclaimed teak wood is given a distinctive finish through a unique ten-step process, which includes wire brushing, scraping with broken glass, burning, waxing, rubbing with empty bottles, and state-of-the-art kiln drying. The Jason Scott Collection was born in a small village where he began manufacturing furniture. Today, Jason Scott lives in Phoenix, Arizona, and continues to design gorgeous, quality heirloom pieces of furniture with his team of over two hundred craftsmen and three factory warehouses across Java, Indonesia.

Best Uses — Jason Scott Bars & Racks

Jason Scott bars and bar racks are hand-built by Javanese craftspeople, bringing disciplined furniture-making to storage designed for serving. They answer the needs of a dedicated Western bar room, where bottles, glassware, and serving tools deserve an ordered, permanent place.

Rooms Made for Hosting
Generous bar forms give practiced hosts a commanding service point, especially when paired with Western bar seating chosen for equal visual weight.
Formal Dining Scale
These substantial silhouettes suit dining rooms where storage must hold its own beside Western dining furnishings rather than recede into the background.
Statement Kitchen Walls
A rack format with a granite top brings useful storage and a firm architectural line to an open kitchen or serving wall.
Legacy-Minded Collectors
Handcrafted teak and heirloom intent appeal to buyers who expect furniture to gather family history instead of following a short design cycle.
Custom Western Interiors
Select customizable designs serve homes that need a distinctive bar or rack to complement Western buffets and sideboards without looking factory-matched.

The Runyon's Difference

Teak wood construction gives these bars and racks the dense, assured bearing associated with the broader Jason Scott furniture collection. Its visible grain and substantial character leave each form with a grounded depth that feels earned, not applied.
Frequently Asked

Questions About Jason Scott Bars & Racks

Can a Jason Scott bar or rack be customized for my home?
Customization is available on select designs. On those pieces, handcrafted construction allows the commission to become something that feels authored for the home, rather than a standard bar placed wherever it happens to fit.
Are these pieces made for regular entertaining or primarily for display?
They are working pieces with decorative authority, and select bars and racks feature ample built-in storage for the practical demands of service. The result is an orderly silhouette that keeps entertaining close at hand without making the room feel utilitarian.
What does a granite top contribute to the rack design?
The select granite top adds a hard, substantial surface suited to serving and display. It also brings cool mineral weight and visual permanence to the surrounding furniture.
How should the teak be cared for over the long term?
Keep teak wood free of standing moisture, dust it with a soft cloth, and use a lightly dampened cloth for routine cleaning before drying the surface promptly; harsh chemicals and abrasive pads are unnecessary. Consistent, restrained care preserves grain that remains clear and quietly expressive.
Which rooms are best suited to this collection?
Dedicated entertaining areas, dining rooms, and spacious kitchens are the natural settings, depending on whether you choose a bar or rack configuration. The purpose-built bar and rack construction gives each setting a gathering point with architectural gravity.
