Craftsmanship
Sleek and grounded in tradition, the New Mexico Wood Exposed Side Chair is handcrafted in Texas with the same artistry and strength as its Santa Fe counterpart—yet distinguished by its clean, straight top rail for a more structured silhouette. This subtle design shift creates a contemporary edge while preserving the timeless appeal of its Western roots.
The frame is carved from solid alder wood, prized for its stability and subtle grain, and left fully exposed to showcase its sculpted beauty. Hand-shaped cabriole legs, natural curves, and a refined stance make this chair a bold yet versatile addition to any space—from dining rooms to entryways.
Finished in a rich walnut stain and outlined in hand-applied nailhead trim, the New Mexico Chair delivers both visual impact and everyday durability. Offered in custom sizing and your choice of leather or hide upholstery, each piece is made to reflect your style.

Materials
Burnt Orange Two-Tone Full-Grain Aniline Leather
This is the highest grade of leather made: full-grain, the top layer of the hide left uncorrected, with nothing sanded or buffed away. Only the finest hides can be used this way — lesser hides have to be sanded and coated to hide their flaws. Here, the natural grain, markings, and character remain fully intact.
The burnt orange color is set with pure aniline dye, which soaks into the leather rather than sitting on top as surface paint — the most demanding way to finish a hide, and the reason the grain stays visible and dimensional. A deeper finish layer settles into the grain for a soft two-tone depth, sealed with a light silky topcoat that adds a gentle gloss and everyday protection.
Leather like this doesn’t wear out — it wears in, deepening in character and patina over a lifetime of use. It’s the standard we hold for our finest custom pieces.
Leather Characteristics:
- Grain Type: Full-Grain Aniline — the highest leather grade

Ivory Gold Crocodile Embossed Accents
Croc Ivory offers a clean and creamy base with soft highlights that elevate its embossed texture. Perfect for lightening up darker pieces, it lends an airy, refined contrast to rustic woods or buttery tan leathers.
